Does my health insurance cover counseling?

Each person’s health insurance provides different benefits. It is important for you to check if your plan covers your individual provider, as well as verify what any deductibles and co-pays are. Please note that insurance plans can be very specific about coverage. It is not safe to assume that because one provider in our group is covered by your plan, that a different provider in our same group also will be able to accept your health insurance. It is important for you to contact your health insurance provider in order to verify insurance benefit with varying providers at Christian Life Counseling if you and/or family have access to multiple providers in our group. The most prudent course of action is to call the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card, prior to your first appointment, and obtain any authorizations, as well as check your benefit, including deductibles and co-pays. We do ask that you pay your co-pays and deductibles at each session.

What if my insurance doesn’t cover the therapist?

Your therapist will work with you to find a solution by either establishing a private pay arrangement or by making a referral.

What if I don’t have insurance?

Christian Life Counseling has a variety of options to work with people who do not have health insurance. Please talk with your provider about making any private pay arrangements. In addition to our licensed therapists making private pay arrangements, we also offer therapists who are working at gaining State licensure as well as graduate student interns who will be able to provide services at a reduced rate. All of their work with you is directly supervised by a licensed Psychologist.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept checks, credit cards, cash and online payments via our Kareo billing system. You are welcome to make payments over the phone as well as keep a credit card on file with our business office for your convenience.
