Psychotherapy is an appropriate option for people struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, divorce, addiction to sex or pornography, relationship problems, and other mental health concerns. Preferences are given using a solution-focused, strengths-based perspective. Cognitive behavioral interventions are woven using the truths of God's unchanging Word.
Therapy groups are offered on a variety of topics throughout the year. Members build confidence in group therapy by interacting with others. These groups are practical and safe. Some examples include Coping with Divorce, Boundaries, and Marriage Enrichment. Research shows positive outcomes are achieved by improving one's sense of spiritual connection.
Psychological or educational testing may be suggested at some point during the therapy process. Testing is a process by which a clinical psychologist uses scientific measures to diagnose a client based on presenting symptoms or behaviors. We also provide testing to address concerns with attention deficits, learning disorders, and intellectual functioning.
